Hospital Recruitment Tools
State leads and hospitals interested in participating in On the CUSP: Stop CAUTI should have a clear understanding of the many benefits of participating in the initiative in order to build their organizations’ commitment to participate. The most important benefits of participation are the reduction of catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) and the improvement of safety culture. However, participating units also benefit from coaching by expert faculty and learn to use a robust culture change model that can be applied to any safety improvement effort. Through exposure to intensive coaching on the CUSP model and CAUTI-reduction protocols, even units that already have low CAUTI rates will benefit tremendously from participation in the initiative.
